TDTD’s Welcome Centers Hit the Road to Chattanooga:
Last week, TDTD’s Welcome Centers kicked off their first FAM of the year to Chattanooga. Destinations included the Charles H. Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center, Tennessee Aquarium, Chattanooga Ghost Tours, Ruby Falls, Rock City, Lookout Mountain Incline Railway, Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Distillery and many more. During these visits, staff from each of the 16 Welcome Centers can learn more about the endless assets Tennessee has to offer. Staff not only learned about the destination’s amenities but also ways they are implementing COVID-19 protocols and guidelines. All Welcome Centers are taking the proper precautions to ensure the safety of visitors and employees. We would like to thank the Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau for all their help in putting this FAM together, and a special thanks to President and CEO Barry White and Business Development Director Jeannie Tatum for their assistance.
I-75 Hamilton County Welcome Center:
The I-75 Hamilton County Welcome Center will be closed April 30, 2021- May 27, 2021. This will allow for reconstruction of the Welcome Center’s access to and from I-75. This schedule is contingent on the contractor completing all preparatory construction work beforehand, and it is also weather-dependent. Should preparation issues or inclement weather delay this work, the contractor will reschedule it to take place on the next available weekend. C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is the contractor for the $132.6 million I‑75/I‑24 interchange modification project, slated for completion in late summer 2021. For more information on the project, visit the project website here. If you have additional questions, please email us at email@example.com.
