Tennessee Welcome Center Staff Experienced Memphis during Familiarization Tour

Tennessee Welcome Center staff traveled in to Memphis for a FAM tour to further their understanding of city’s attractions, restaurants and more.

All 16 Welcome Centers were represented on the tour, making the FAM an opportunity for staff to best promote the state to the 15 million travelers who stop by a Tennessee Welcome Center annually. Personally experiencing a place is TDTD’s best practice for frontline staff to accurately communicate to guests all a destination.

Welcome center staff visited Graceland, National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studio, Crosstown Concourse, Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid, Memphis Music Hall of Fame, Memphis Zoo, Children’s Museum of Memphis and Memphis Botanic Gardens.
