TDTD’s Social Media Manager Will Crockett; Sales Manager Andi Grindley; and Middle Tennessee Division Manager Sara Beth Urban attended Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College June 24-29 on the campus of The University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia, moving one step closer to earning their Tourism Marketing Professional certification by participating in the three-year program.
For more than 25 years, STS Marketing College has provided an educational program for the travel and tourism industry. Students learn marketing techniques like current trends, data, and implementation within the tourism and travel industry from professors who are industry-related professionals from across the U.S., noted as experts in their field.
Classes taught by tourism professionals during Marketing College include courses such as “Essentials of Tourism Marketing,” “Demystifying Economic Impact,” and “From Age to Affinity, the New and Emerging Tour & Travel Market.”
“Marketing College shows that tourism and the ways people travel evolves at such a fast pace that it’s necessary to stay current on the industry and tourism strategy in order to succeed,” said Will Crockett.
