TDTD Commissioner Kevin Triplett has completed the first round of his travel across the state discussing the new Tennessee Music Pathways with stakeholders. The tour stops were: Johnson City, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Lawrenceburg, Lebanon, Memphis, Jackson, Cookeville, and Martin with a final meeting last week in Nashville. A sincere thank you to all who hosted and attended to learn more about the opportunities the Pathways can create in Tennessee communities.
Tennessee Music Pathways is a statewide TDTD capital project designed to showcase our remarkable music history from multiple genres and ultimately all 95 counties. The first phase of the project is set to launch in summer 2018.
While many points of interests have been identified for the project, we want to continue to hear from our partners across the state with additional recommendations. Please continue to submit your local music history and related assets to be considered for marker placement and inclusion on Tennessee Music Pathways.
Please read the Tennessee Music Pathways criteria document fully before completing the form. There is no deadline to submit; however, we would like to receive submissions as soon as possible to help us make informed, historically accurate decisions, and plan the work for what will be an extended multi-phase project. The Tennessee Music Pathways Criteria and Submission form can be found here.
