NASHVILLE, TN – Sept. 3, 2019 – Award-winning country, bluegrass and gospel music artist Dailey & Vincent keep their hometowns close to their hearts. In celebration of the unveiling of Jamie Dailey’s “Tennessee Music Pathways” marker, Dailey & Vincent announced they will perform two sold-out concerts 3 p.m. CST and 6:30 p.m. CST Saturday, Oct. 5 at The Bull & Thistle in Dailey’s hometown of Gainesboro, Tennessee.
Proceeds from the concerts will benefit the Dailey & Vincent Helping Hands Fund, which provides financial assistance to meet nutritional, educational and medical needs to disadvantaged children of Jackson and Dekalb counties.
Dailey’s important contributions to music are widespread and started in his hometown. Now, 35 years later, he and Vincent seek to give back to the communities from which they got their start through investments and charitable causes. Dailey is working hard with the community to help revitalize Gainesboro.
“I’m very moved by the new marker being unveiled in my hometown,” said Dailey. “I never dreamed I would even be considered for such an honor. Thank you!”

The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development kicked off the Tennessee Music Pathways in September 2018. The statewide program identifies, interprets, promotes and preserves events, locations and stories of Tennessee’s rich musical heritage. The department worked with several historians to identify locations for markers, including birthplaces, resting places, hometowns, high schools and churches, and locations of first-known recordings or performances of musical pioneers and legends. There are more than 300 points of interest already at tnmusicpathways.com. Additional markers will continue to be installed for years to come.
Dailey grew up singing and playing with his family and regional groups all over middle Tennessee and Kentucky. Dailey recorded with Dolly Parton and was a guest on Ricky Skaggs’ Grammy-winning Brand New Strings album. During his time with Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, the band won 13 IBMA awards, including seven for Vocal Group of the Year.
Dailey & Vincent are praised as masters of bluegrass with their stellar harmonies and distinctive style. The band earned five Grammy Awards, three Grammy nominations, four DOVE Awards and 35 IMBA Awards collectively, including three-time Vocal Group of the Year. The band received world-wide attention with the TV series, “The Dailey & Vincent Show.” Fans can also listen to their monthly radio program on WSM.
