Add Your Tennessee Songwriters Week Events Feb. 17-23

Partners, businesses and venues are encouraged to make history and add their special events such as open mic nights and songwriter showcases on tnvacation.com. When partners create an event for the event calendar, there will be a flag to select it as a “Songwriters Week” event. The inaugural Tennessee Songwriters Week kicks off Feb. 17-23. It celebrates the foundation of the craft, recognizes past and present songwriters and paves the way for future artists. For Songwriters Week social media sample copy and graphics, click here.

Separately, TDTD and The Bluebird Cafe will host a string of Open Mic Nights across the state. Signups are now underway. Registration is limited to the first 25 songwriters who sign up per venue.

• Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019 – Lafayette’s Music Room in Memphis – 7 p.m.
• Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019 – The Camp House in Chattanooga -7 p.m.
• Friday, Feb. 22, 2019 – WDVX in Knoxville – 7 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 – The Down Home in Johnson City – 7 p.m.

The Bluebird Cafe’s long-time open mic night host, songwriter Barbara Cloyd, will host each event. A panel of local judges will select the top songwriter from each event. Those four winners get the chance to perform their original material at The Bluebird Cafe Sunday, March 31.
