Tennessee Songwriters Week

Tennessee Songwriters Month, formerly known as Tennessee Songwriters Week, has evolved into a month-long celebration of the songwriters, venues, and craft that have shaped Tennessee’s rich musical legacy.

The mission of Tennessee Songwriters Month is to support venues and songwriters and to inspire travelers to experience the state’s one-of-a-kind live music scene. Qualifying rounds and showcases will be held across the state, with a final performance at the iconic Bluebird Café in Nashville.

Partners with venues across the state are encouraged to participate by signing up for qualifying rounds. Venues can be restaurants, coffee shops, theaters, bars, retail stores – in addition to traditional venues. Rules and guidelines for becoming a qualifying round venue, as well as more information about Tennessee Songwriters Month, can be found in the 2027 Partner Toolkit.
