TDTD and Keep Tennessee Beautiful Win Big at 2019 Keep America Beautiful National Awards

TDTD and Keep Tennessee Beautiful won the Cigarette Litter Prevention Program Award at the 2019 Keep America Beautiful National Awards Feb. 6-8 in Baltimore, Maryland.

Keep Tennessee Beautiful worked with TDTD to place cigarette receptacles at 15 Tennessee Welcome Centers. Keep Tennessee Beautiful used 486 new and existed stand-alone and wall-mounted receptacles throughout the year, showing a decrease in cigarette littering at all sites that have been audited.

Keep Tennessee Beautiful work to make Tennessee more clean, green and safe through tree planting and beautifying projects, litter prevention and recycling.

The Keep America Beautiful National Awards recognize the best of the best among the network of community-based affiliates who lead corporate partners and volunteers across the U.S. deliver greener and cleaner communities. Keep America Beautiful inspires and educates individuals and corporations to improve and beautify their communities through a variety of initiatives and national programs. They encourage more than 5 million volunteers to end littering and improve recycling.
