TDTD, in partnership with agency of record VML, has won three Cannes Lion Awards for the Colorblind Viewfinder 2017 Campaign in the Media – Travel; Media – Use of Ambient Media: Large Scale; and PR – Use of Technology categories and made three short-lists: Media: Use of Stunts; Media: Use of Technology; and PR – Low Budget/High Impact Campaign. The Cannes Lion Awards represent the best campaigns of the year from world-renowned companies and brands.
The Media Lions celebrate the context of creativity – the inspiring and innovative implementation of ideas which is amplified by a game-changing channel strategy. The PR Lions honor the creative work that cultivates relationships, using earned-media tactics or channels to start dialogue and change perceptions.
The Low Budget/High Impact Campaign category saw 72 entries with only three short-lists including the Colorblind Viewfinder Campaign. There were 65 that didn’t short-list. The Media: Use of Stunts saw 162 entries with eight short-listed including the Colorblind Viewfinder Campaign, and 148 who did not short-list. There were 70 total entries for the Media: Use of Technology category with six short-lists including the Colorblind Viewfinder Campaign and 61 who did not make the short-list.
TDTD was in the running with companies like Amazon, Spotify, Samsung, Ikea, HBO, Tourism Australia and Visit Sweden to name a few.
