Retire Tennessee recently wrapped up the last of seven Ideal Living Resort & Retirement Expos that occurred in Long Island, New York; two expos in McLean, Virginia; Chicago, Illinois; Stanford, Connecticut; Parsippany, New Jersey; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The expos are one-of-a-kind shows that market retirement destinations to potential retirees, a face-to-face opportunity to showcase Tennessee. The 22 counties in the Retire Tennessee program are required to attend at least one expo each year.
TDTD continues to receive positive feedback about the low cost of living with an emphasis on low property taxes. Requests for Tennessee information resulting from the Ideal Living Expos has increased from 5 percent to 29 percent since 2007.
