Welcome Center Employees Honored for Long-standing Service

2016 will offer a year of milestones for a number of Tennessee Welcome Center employees. Each will be recognized by Commissioner Triplett and Assistant Commissioner of Welcome Centers Pete Rosenboro in appreciation of their years of service.

Welcome Center staff members with noteworthy milestones this year include: Cynthia Jared, Smith County Welcome Center manager, 30 years of service; Betty Settles, Memphis I-55/I-40 Welcome Center Manager, 30 years of service; Eddie Johnson, Tiftonia Welcome Center Manager, 30 years of service; Paul Whitfield, Ardmore Building Maintenance Worker, 35 years of service; and Debbie Lay, Jellico Welcome Center Assistant; 30 years of service.

“Our Welcome Center staff serves one of the most important roles in Tennessee tourism. They are our frontliners, often the first interaction guests to our state encounter,” said Rosenboro. “The commitment and dedication shown by those celebrating milestones this year is unquestionably worthy of acknowledgement.”
