TDTD's 2016 Chicago Campaign Garners 140% Increase in Travel Bookings from Chicago Market

When TDTD embarked on the 2016 Chicago activation, and launched the first-of-its-kind, live-streamed concerts from Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville, it was revolutionary. Now the impressive final analytics are in, indicating rock-solid results for Tennessee tourism.

Provided by Nsight, the largest database of travel shopping, the campaign resulted in a search index from the Chicago market increase of 38% in June and July year over year. The booking index increased 140% in August and September year over year for people traveling to Tennessee from the Chicago market.

The downtown Chicago event reinforced "The Soundtrack of America. Made in Tennessee." tourism brand. Citizen Cope, Jason Isbell, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Ashley Monroe took the stage May 23-25, 2016 and performed from iconic attractions: Stax, Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum, and Tennessee Theatre, respectively. The live performances were streamed onto a two-sided video wall and artists interacted with the audiences, including giving away trips to Tennessee.
